Ventus congratulates Motion Controls international with their transition to public cloud ERP.
MCi is the global market leader in side view mirror actuators and offers a range of solutions for active aerodynamics, sensor cleaning and protection for the automotive industry and beyond. One and a half year ago, MCi started the S4MCi project, to replace its companywide used solution for Enterprise Resource Planning.
“The primary goal of the project is to ensure business continuity, as support of the current SAP version will cease in 2027” says Filip Callens, Senior Director IT at MCi. To be best prepared for the future, MCi chose to move to a public cloud edition. “This will also lower our running cost and offer more flexibility to enable future developments of our business”.
This may seem as just another ERP project, though a transition to public cloud comes with specific challenges. Business change management is an increasingly important factor, as standardization takes place on business process level rather than application functionality.
“Ventus contributed to a successful transition by delivering an end-to-end approach for project realization and testing. “This helped us to keep the right focus and maximally support the organization while adopting the change”.
After sites in The Netherlands, Ireland and the US went live in December and January, MCi Mexico has successfully starting using the new solution since the beginning of April. In May Asia will follow, completing the entire project roll-out.
